Komets acquire forward J.C. Campagna

Fort Wayne, IN -- The Komets announced today that they have acquired forward J.C. Campagna from the Allen Americans of the ECHL in a trade for cash.Campagna (cam-PAN-ya), 25, started this season appearing in two games with the Allen Americans.  Last year the Dallas, Texas native shared the season among four ECHL teams including Adirondack, Orlando, Wheeling and Allen totaling 11 goals and 35 points in 45 games. 

The forward has amassed totals of 17 goals and 45 points in 63 ECHL career games.

Campagna made his pro debut in 2016-17 skating 16 games for Adirondack after finishing a three year college career in the AUS (Atlantic University Sport) with the University of Prince Edward Island. He completed a five year juniors stint in 2013-14 by splitting the season in the QMJHL with Quebec and Moncton and registering career highs of 24 assists and 45 points in 50 games.

Komets home opener Saturday-- The Komets will skate two games this weekend.  Friday the Komets face the Wings at Kalamazoo at 7:30pm.  Saturday the Komets host the Wings at 7:30pm for the 67th Fort Wayne home opener.  Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the pregame festivities.
