Wayne, IN 4/25/08 --- The Komets shutout the Muskegon Fury 3-0 in Fort
Wayne Friday night to take a 3-2 best-of-seven series lead in front of a
crowd of 6,723.
It was the second shutout of the
series for Fort Wayne and first of the year for Komet goaltender Nick
Boucher. Boucher stopped all 23 Fury shots he faced for the win.
Muskegon netminder Clayton Pool suffered the loss making 33 saves on 36
Komet shots.
Center Matt Reynolds, left winger Konstantin Shafranov and right winger
Luciano Aquino each scored for Fort Wayne.
The Komets can clinch the series with a victory Saturday night at Muskegon.
The Fort Wayne win assures the Komets of a fourth home playoff game and
tickets will go on sale Saturday morning at 10:00 at the Coliseum Ticket
