Komets tame Brahmas 3-2 in overtime The Texas Brahmas wasted no
time Sunday afternoon at North Richland Hills in the
Longhorn State getting on the board at 26 seconds
into the game when Alex Curran beat Komet goaltender
Nick Boucher in front of the net for his fifth goal
of the season. Both teams battled the remainder of
the first period and then the entire second period
before the Komets finally solved Brahma goalie Wayne
Savage at 6:11 of the third frame when Tab Lardner
hit the net to knot the game at 1-1.
Brian Ihnacak gave Texas the lead again striking
back quickly at 7:24 but Fort Wayne's Frankie
DeAngelis pulled the Komets even at 16:08 and sent
the game to extra time. Center Mathieu Curadeau

the two teams at 1:31 into overtime with his first
