Fort Wayne, IN
— The Komets split the two games played for the week to remain
in a first place tie in the IHL. The Komets improved to
4-2-0-0 for eight points and share the top spot with Port Huron
and Bloomington after three weeks of 2009-10.
Friday night the Komets suffered their second loss of the season
5-4 at Bloomington. The Komets all-time record against
Bloomington fell to 28-11-3 after 42 meetings since the
Thunder's first season in 2006-07. None of the goals were
scored at even strength. The Komets scored three goals
with the man advantage while Bloomington netted four power play
tallies. Each team also notched a short-handed goal.
Saturday the Komets returned home for a Halloween affair against
Muskegon. The Komets treated 6,892 Fort Wayne souls to a
3-1 win over the Lumberjacks and took a split of weekend games
played. It was the second straight All Hallow's Eve Komet
home win after last year's 5-1 victory over Kalamazoo.
Last season's trick-or-treater was the first Fort Wayne home
Halloween game in 10 years since 1998 when the Komets nipped the
visiting Orlando Solar Bears 1-0 with Guy Dupuis drawing the
only blood of the night.
This week the Komets head to Flint for the only game scheduled.
It will be the first of six trips to Perani Arena this season
and the first of 12 meetings overall. The Generals also
took a split of two games played last week and are coming off a
3-2 loss at Bloomington Halloween night.

a goal and adding three assists for four points in two games.
The defenseman netted his first pro goal, a power play tally,
and dished two helpers for a three-point night at Bloomington
Friday in his second pro game. Saturday DeAngelis assisted
on the Komets' third goal of a 3-1 Halloween home win against
Muskegon.

Brad MacMillan has been handed a 15-game suspension for his
altercation in Saturday night's home game against the Muskegon
Lumberjacks, the IHL announced today. MacMillan will be
available to return to the Komet lineup Friday, Dec. 18 when the
Komets host Quad City.
Shooting Komets.....the Komets have out-shot their
