Fort Wayne, IN — The Komets trimmed seven players from the preseason roster Thursday.  Players released include forwards Mike Uvodich, Ryan Potts, Shawn Legris, Greg Leffler, defensemen Kelly Reynolds and Tim Recio and goaltender Matt Wagner.

The Komets' preseason roster shrinks to 27 players as the Komets prepare for two exhibition games over the weekend.  Friday the Komets will host the Muskegon Lumberjacks at 8pm in their final home tune-up of the preseason.  The Komets and Jacks will complete preseason play Saturday at Walker Arena in Muskegon at 7pm.

Wednesday night the Komets defeated the Dayton Gems 4-2 in exhibition play at the Memorial Coliseum.

The Komets will open the 2009-10 IHL season Friday, Oct. 16 at Dayton.  Fort Wayne's home opener is slated for Friday, Oct. 23 against the Bloomington PrairieThunder.

Single game ticket prices for 2009-10 will remain the same as last season, ranging from $8.00 to $20.00 for seniors and adults and starting at $6.00 for children.
