Fort Wayne, IN — The Komets visited Flint Thursday night
and clipped the Generals 4-3 to move into a first-place tie with
Muskegon and extend their win string to three games.
Komet newcomer Leo Thomas extended his personal point-streak to
four games (3 goals, 3 assists) scoring a pair of goals
including the game-winner and adding an assist for a three-point
evening. Winger P.C. Drouin lengthened his league-leading
point streak to seven games (4 goals, 7 assists) with a goal and
an assist and has an assist streak of four games (6 assists).
Right wing Dominic Osman also hit the net Thursday night for his
11th tally of the season. Last week's IHL Goaltender of
the Week Tim Haun registered his second consecutive win stopping
25 of 28 Flint shots.
The Komets' victory at Flint set up a battle for first-place
tonight when the Komets visit L.C. Walker Arena for a 7pm
faceoff against the Lumberjacks. The Komets will complete
a week of four games in five nights Saturday night when they
return home to host the Port Huron Icehawks at 7:30.
