Fort Wayne, IN
— The Komets announced Tuesday that last year's IHL Turner Cup
Playoffs MVP Justin Hodgman has agreed to terms and will be
skating with the Komets for the remainder of 2008-09 and plans
to be in the lineup to help defend the Komets' Turner Cup
Championship in the playoffs.
Hodgman,
20, became the star of the playoffs last year leading the Komets
with seven goals and 14 points appearing in all 13 Fort Wayne
post-season games. The rookie center made his mark on
Komet history scoring the game winning goal in the third
overtime of the seventh game of the finals for the Turner Cup
Championship and becoming the IHL's 2009 Playoff MVP.
Hodgman completed his fourth season of eligibility in the OHL
this season with Erie leading the Otters with 66 points in 66
games. The Otters were eliminated in the first round of
the OHL playoffs.
Hodgman is expected to be in Fort Wayne for his first practice
