KOMETS HOST BLOOMINGTON PRAIRIETHUNDER SATURDAY NIGHT Fort Wayne, IN --- The Komets announced Friday that rookie right winger Mitch Woods has been added to the roster and is expected to see action with the Komets tonight at Bloomington. Woods, 21, has skated the last 3 seasons at Battlefords of the SJHL (Saskatchewan Junior Hockey Leauge). Last year the winger scored 27 goals, 68 points and 215 penalty minutes in 58 games with the North Stars. Woods participated in this year's training camps with Bridgeport of the AHL and Utah of the ECHL.The Komets will begin a home-and-home series tonight at Bloomington starting at 8pm Fort Wayne time. Tomorrow the Komets and Thunder will faceoff in Fort Wayne at the Memorial Coliseum at 7:30pm to complete the weekend series. Both games will be broadcast on WOWO Radio AM 1190 in Fort Wayne and free on the internet at Komets.com Comcast KometCast with Bob Chase calling the play-by-play radio-rinkside.
