Fort Wayne, IN ---The ECHL announced today that Fort
Wayne forward Ryan Lasch has been named the Sher-Wood
Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for the week ending Dec. 16, 2012. Lasch appeared in all four games played for
the week scoring four goals and adding five assists for a nine-point week. Lasch also posted a +6 for the week as the
Komets registered a 2-1-1 record and gained five points in the ECHL North Division
standings.
Lasch, 25, began the week dishing three assists in a 7-3 Fort
Wayne home win against Kalamazoo Wednesday. Friday the Lake Forest,
California native followed with his first
career hat trick in a 6-4 loss at Reading. Saturday the skater had a hand in both Komet
goals, assisting on the first and scoring the second for a pair of points in a
3-2 overtime loss at Wheeling. Sunday in Fort Wayne Lasch assisted on the
game-tying goal in a 2-1 overtime win over the visiting Kalamazoo Wings.
Lasch has skated a total of nine games with Komets since his assignment to Fort Wayne Nov. 27. After his first two Komet games, the forward
has had points in each game since for a seven-game point streak of five goals

his North American pro debut with the Admirals Oct. 12 following two seasons in
Europe and posted a goal and four points in 11 games before his reassignment to
Fort Wayne Nov.
